Worldcoin got $100M in funding round
This news follows reports, according to which OpenAI is working on its own AI startup investments. In May 2023, Bankless Times cited a Financial Times report, which stated that OpenAI was in the final stages of negotiating an agreement to secure $100 million of funding for Worldcoin, a project created to distinguish humans from bots. According to FT, the funds would be sourced from “existing and new investors.”

Converge 1 took place in November 2022. In this initiative, OpenAI granted 12 applicants $1 million each to invest in their AI programs.
It has been the year of AI without a doubt. In related news, French AI startup Mistral AI closed a $415 million funding round to continue its development of generative AI tools, customizable features, and chatbots.
