- BarnBridge, Liquity, and Stratis were among the top-performers on Monday.
- BOND jumped after the ecosystem voted to comply with the SEC.
- Liquity has seen its volume jump even as the crypto winter continued.
Barnbridge’s BOND and Liquity’s LQTY tokens were among the best-performing cryptocurrencies during the weekend. BOND token jumped to over $7 on Sunday, 347% above its lowest level this month.
Similarly, Liquity’s token, LQTY soared to a high of $1.63 on Monday, the highest level since July 14th. It has soared by over 127% from this month’s lowest point. Other popular cryptocurrencies that surged were Loom Network, Band Protocol, Stratis (STRAX), and WazirX (WRX).
BarnBridge’s token soared after the community voted to ensure the platform’s founders, Troy Murray and Tyler Ward to comply with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This means that the two could decide to pay a fine to end the ongoing investigation into the platform since July. Since then, the network has largely been paused, with no major activity going on.
As the BOND token surged, the amount of short liquidations jumped. Data by CoinGlass shows that over $60k of BOND’s short liquidations have jumped in the past few days. This liquidation happened as the price soared.
Liquity’s LQT token jumped sharply as the market share of the stablecoin lender rose even as the crypto winter continued. In a statement, Liquity said that it had seen positive metrics in the ecosystem recently.
Liquity is a DeFi ecosystem that enables users to borrow the LQTY token by first depositing Ethereum’s Ether into its ecosystem. Users who staked in the protocol have received over $625k in the past month.
Stratis (STRAX) crypto price was also a major performer as it jumped to a high of $1.20, the highest level this year. It has surged by more than 210% from the lowest level this month. It is unclear why STRAX token has soared but I believe it is a normal pump going on.
Another possible reason is that Stratis recently made its biggest upgrade to its platform which introduced gaming network.
