The Schwab US Dividend Equity, or SCHD ETF, is one of the most popular income-focused funds, with almost $70 billion in assets. Investors love it for its strong dividend growth trend and consistent yields. Still, some popular blue-chip crypto coins pay a much higher return through staking.

Best Crypto Coins That Are Better Rivals to SCHD

The SCHD ETF is a popular fund that invests in many companies with a long record of paying dividends to their shareholders. Some of the top constituents are companies like Amgen, Texas Instruments, and BlackRock. It has a dividend yield of about 3.5%.

Cryptocurrencies like Polkadot (DOT), Avalanche (AVAX), and Cosmos (ATOM) are some viable alternatives to the SCHD ETF.

Polkadot (DOT)

Polkadot is a top layer-1 crypto coin with a staking yield of 11.7%, making it far higher than that of the SCHD. The initial goal of Polkadot was to act as the foundation where developers created parachains, which are independent blockchains. This model was long and expensive since developers needed to participate in slot auctions.

Polkadot 2.0 is changing this by ensuring that anyone can create their own dApps using the network easily. This transition will likely make Polkadot one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies in the industry.

Polkadot price has more catalysts. It has formed a quadruple bottom, with its neckline at $11. A rebound to the all-time high of $56 would imply a 1,095% surge.

Avalanche (AVAX)

Avalanche is another top crypto coin that is a good rival to the SCHD ETF in terms of returns. It has an annual yield of 8%, making it a highly rewarding coin to hold. The network recently launched the Avalanche9000 upgrade that introduced a new type of validator, reduced fees on the C-chain, and a program to reward developers.

Avalanche is often seen as a good rival to Ethereum and Solana because of its speeds, 100% runtime, and ecosystem growth. The AVAX price was trading at $21.60, meaning it needs to jump by 600% to reach its all-time high of $150.

Cosmos (ATOM)

Cosmos is a top crypto coin that yields higher than SCHD. It has an annual payout of about 12%. The main catalyst for this coin is its technicals. The coin has formed a large falling wedge chart pattern on the weekly chart.

The upper side connects the highest swings since May 2022, while the lower side links the lowest points since 2021. Therefore, the Cosmos price will likely bounce back and could potentially reach its all-time high of $44.80, up by about 900% from the current level.

Other Altcoins for Income Investors

There are some other quality altcoins for income investors. Some of the top blue-chip coins like this are BNB Coin, Injective, Solana, Celestia, and Bittensor.
