Tapswap token will be in the spotlight after the much-awaited airdrop or token-generation event on Monday, February 17. This airdrop will help most users sell their accumulated tokens and its true believers to hold them.

So, what is the next TAPS price after its airdrop?

TAPS Airdrop Is Finally Happening

Tapswap is one of the biggest players in the Telegram ecosystem, where it has accumulated over 70 million users.

These users gain tokens by tapping a button on its mini-application and completing tasks like sharing and following its social media pages.

Tapswap is similar to Telegram tap-to-earn tokens like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Catizen. However, it has aimed to differentiate its strategy by creating an ecosystem and having incentives to give the TAPS token more utility.

For example, the developers are working on a skills game where users will be paid using the TAPS token. They hope the gaming ecosystem will keep growing in the coming years, a move that will help it succeed where other top players like Axie Infinity and Decentraland failed.

The Tapswap airdrop will happen on Monday after months of delay. The developers have always insisted that the launch delay gave them time to make their game useful.

They also wanted to create more partnerships, especially with centralized exchanges.

Tapswap Price Forecast

Creating a realistic price forecast is impossible, since the TAPS listing price has not yet been revealed. However, one can estimate that the Tapswap price will crash after the airdrop for several reasons.

First, while the developers claimed that the listing price would give it time to secure deals with exchanges, only one CEX will support this airdrop: Bitget.

Second, Tapswap has been forced to change the blockchain for the airdrop. Its initial goal was to use the vibrant BNB Chain, but Telegram unveiled a new rule that all mini-apps will use its TON Blockchain. TON has a weaker ecosystem than BNB, which has millions of users and tens of DEX exchanges.

Third, TAPS holders will probably rush to sell after the airdrop. Many of these holders also participated in other airdrops, like Hamster Kombat and Notcoin.

They have seen their prices crash after their airdrops, so they will want to exit their positions as soon as possible.

Usually, the concept of “to earn” has been good in theory, but it has not worked as most tokens have plunged. This includes tokens like Sweat Economy and StepN. Finally, the exact Tapswap price is hard to predict because it may crash by double digits in the long term.
