Puffer, Swell, and Berachain could be the next top blockchains to launch their airdrop in 2024, according to Polymarket users.

Scroll, a popular layer-2 network in the crypto industry, confirmed that it was preparing to launch its airdrop this year as part of its decentralization strategy.

Scroll to launch its airdrop

The airdrop plan was a big victory to many Polymarket users who predicted that it would happen in 2024. It will launch on Binance Launchpool, which has had some highly successful airdrops like Sui, Sei, and Celestia.

Scroll has grown to become one of the biggest blockchains in the industry. According to DeFi Llama, it has over 100 decentralized finance protocols in its ecosystem. Its total value locked (TVL) has jumped by 10% in the past 30 days to over $739 million, making it bigger than other popular networks like Cardano, Cronos, Algorand, and TON.

Polymarket users are now betting on other popular blockchains to launch their airdrop this year. Puffer Finance, a liquid restaking with over $1.32 billion in assets, has a 96.6% probability and $16,493 in assets.

Swell is another top platform that Polymarket users believe will launch an airdrop this year. It has a 92.8% chance and $40,000 in assets. Swell is a non-custodial ETH liquid staking protocol whose locked assets have dropped from over $3 billion in May to $1.35 billion

EigenLayer, the biggest player in Ethereum restaking has already launched its airdrop, giving it a fully diluted valuation of $6.5 billion.

Many Polymarket users believe that Berachain will also launch its airdrop this year. Berachain is a fast-growing chain that lets users build decentralized applications. Some of the top dApps in its ecosystem are Honey, Bend, BEX, and BGT Station.

In another poll with $42,790 in assets, most participants believe that HyperLiquid has little chances of launching its airdrop this year. Hyperliquid is one of the biggest players in DeFi with over $703 million in assets. It is a large platform for trading perpetual futures with over 206,000 users and $1.1 billion trading volume.

Catizen, another Telegram game, has dropped by over 60% from its all-time high. Other popular airdrops that have not done well this year are LayerZero, Wormhole, and RabBitcoin.

On the other hand, newly launched meme coins like Neiro, Popcat, Brett, and MogCoin have surged.
