Crypto.com, the most dynamically developing cryptocurrency exchange, will continue its tradition of partnerships with leading sporting institutions in 2022. The exchange announced a five-year partnership with the Australian Football League, FX Empire reported.

It will serve as a partner of both the NAB AFLW and the Toyota AFL Premiership Season competitions.

Crypto.com becomes AFL’s official trading platform

According to the press release, Crypto.com will become the official cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform of AFL and AFLW. It will be featured as the exclusive naming rights partner of the ‘Crypto.com AFL Score Review’ for all Toyota AFL Premiership Season and Final Series matches as well.

A historic precedent

This is Crypto.com’s first partnership with an Australian sports league. In yet another first, AFLW will become the first elite women’s sports tournament the exchange has ever sponsored.

According to Gillon McLachlan, AFL chief executive, the partnership ushers in an exciting new chapter for football in the country. He commented:

Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is a dynamic and emerging industry, and the AFL is delighted to partner with Crypto.com to be at the forefront of the industry’s growth in Australia.

Crypto.com has huge presence in world of sports

Crypto.com is one of the cryptocurrency exchanges with the biggest presence in the world of sports. On December 21, it became the first cryptocurrency exchange to sponsor a women’s sports team after partnering with Angel City FC. On December 23, they bought Super Bowl airtime to augment awareness of their brand.

Groundbreaking partnerships

Crypto.com has partnerships with major sporting establishments like UFC, Formula 1, the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), and Paris Saint-Germain Football Club as well as the Montreal Canadiens (NHL), Lega Serie A, esports team Fnatic, Twitch Rivals, and more. Recently, the Staples Center was renamed to Crypto.com Arena.

According to Crypto.com cofounder and CEO Kris Marszalek, the partnership with the Australian Football League is a great opportunity to expand crypto in a market that’s already become a force to reckon with. He added:

We are committed to investing in Australia, a key market and leader in cryptocurrency adoption, contributing to our rapid growth of over 10 million users globally. The AFL and AFLW are perfect platforms to associate ourselves with Australian sports and culture. It is by far the most popular spectator sport in the country that has been played for over 150 years, a rich history that uniquely brings Australians together in a way that we are truly inspired by.
