Initiative driven by Pocket’s Web3 Infrastructure protocol launches to support and scale blockchain communities.

Web3 infrastructure project Pocket Network announced the launch of TriForce, an initiative to support growth among blockchain communities, Bankless Times learned from a press release.

TriForce incentivizes and empowers blockchain communities to be a part of Pocket Network’s growth trajectory while strengthening community ties among supported blockchains.

Launch, grow, and maintain blockchain traffic

TriForce allows community members to launch, maintain, and grow blockchain traffic for their respective ecosystems. In doing so, they will also extend Pocket Network’s reach, helping it provide RPC services to highly decentralized crypto networks.

Developed in conjunction with Pocket Network Inc, Pocket Network Foundation, and Pocket DAO, the TriForce program is open to community members of all blockchains that Pocket currently supports or will add support for soon.

Tools to thrive and become stronger

Each TriForce consists of three components, known collectively as “shards.” These elements describe how each TriForce can benefit blockchain communities with individual expertise. This three-pronged support program will ultimately give communities the tools to thrive and become stronger.

Blockchain communities can get involved in the following areas:

  • Marketing

  • Business Development

  • DevOps/Technical Support

Individuals and community groups, including DAOs, are encouraged to apply to the TriForce program for assistance with node setup and maintenance.

Pocket DAO has earmarked funds to incentivize eligible communities focused on strengthening their blockchain ecosystems by utilizing Pocket nodes. The Pocket DAO will also provide budgets for qualifying communities and reward members commensurate with their contributions with ongoing incentives.

Adopting an increasing number of blockchains

Pocket Network intends to rapidly support as many blockchains as possible, having already invited community members highly engaged with these networks to fast-track this objective. While each of the shards that make up Pocket’s multichain network will operate semi-autonomously, they will pursue shared goals that will benefit all blockchains.

Michael O’Rourke, CEO of Pocket Network, commented:

Web3 is built on a foundation of open standards. As the internet moves away from the top-down model synonymous with Web2, community-centric models for project management, treasury oversight, and key decision-making have risen to prominence. Pocket’s TriForce program aligns with this narrative, supporting the open discourse and grassroots engagement that are a mainstay of Web3.

As the TriForce program matures, Pocket Network anticipates blockchain communities will ultimately assume responsibility for developing new on-chain use cases and identifying new ways to grow their network. Pocket Network now supports 50 blockchains and is well on its way to achieving its goal of 100 blockchains in 2022.
