ScienceMagic.Studios, a joint-venture between leading crypto incubation, investment, and research firm Delphi Digital and creative and strategic company ScienceMagic.Inc, secured $10.3 million in a pre-seed funding round from investors such as Coinbase Ventures and Liberty City Ventures, Bankless Times learned from a press release.
RealVision founder and macro investor Raoul Pal is also a partner in the JV. Other investors in the round included Digital Currency Group, Noam Gottesman and Alan Howard.
New company to consult on digital assets
The new company will consult on and create digital assets like social tokens and NFTs for talent, brands, and their communities. The funds will help its platform scale to fulfill significant inbound demand. Cofounder and CEO of ScienceMagic.Studios David Pemsel commented:
Digital assets offer huge potential for brands to engage with their communities in a new way, and for talent to realize the true value from their work for the first time. But many brands are just starting to understand this. To make the most of this opportunity and create enduring value, brands will need a partner who understands their business, who shares their values, and who brings a deep knowledge of Web3 technologies.
Helping define Web3 brand vision
ScienceMagic.Studios will collaborate with its partners at every phase as they work on their Web3 presence, helping them understand how Web3 can help their communities, define the Web3 vision for their brand, manage an emerging economy, and develop and launch assets that will deliver real shared value to users.
