- The partnership will also help support developers creating Aave-powered dApps
- Pocket Network’s smart, decentralized design will maximize data availability, ensure redundancy
Pocket Network, a decentralized Web3 protocol, has partnered with leading lending platform Aave, Bankless Times learned from a press release.
The open source liquidity market will use Pocket’s distributed network exceeding 44,000 nodes to access multiple blockchain data and power the next wave of dApps.
Benefiting developers
The partnership will also help support developers creating Aave-powered dApps, enabling them to access reliable blockchain data on demand from Pocket Network.
Aave Grants DAO funded this agreement. The DAO endorsed a grant to acquire the necessary POKT for the lender’s frontend traffic.
Scalable, cost-effective access
Pocket RPC implementation will fortify Aave’s status as a leading decentralized platform as well as provide affordable and scalable access to Aave dApps. Pocket Network’s smart, decentralized design will maximize data availability, ensure redundancy and build a censorship-resistant node network.
Michael O’Rourke, CEO of Pocket Network, commented:
The provision of Pocket Network’s 44,000 nodes to Aave developers unlocks new capabilities for deriving real-time blockchain data, such as pricing and smart contract state. The goal is to power the next wave of decentralized applications that combine Aave’s best-in-class liquidity market with Pocket’s unrivaled RPC coverage. It supports 50 blockchains and aims to increase that number to 100 by the end of the year.
The benefits for Aave
At the moment, Aave uses multiple RPCs from different infrastructure providers to meet its needs. These solutions differ in terms of reliability, leading to instability at times. This, in turn, impedes developers and impacts user experience adversely.
The majority of Aave’s liquidity comes from Polygon and Ethereum, even though the lender is compatible with multiple blockchains. Pocket Network supplies these blockchains with dedicated RPCs, leading to higher uptime, lower latency, and optimized multi-chain data services.
Putting blockchain-enabled apps into your pocket
Pocket Network is a platform that serves applications, using cost efficiency to distribute and coordinate data at scale. It ensures secure and seamless interactions across apps and between blockchains.
Pocket Network allows users to integrate blockchains into mobile apps, websites, IoT, and more, making it possible for developers to put blockchain-enabled apps into every mainstream consumer’s pocket, hence the name.
