With President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration just days away, Circle joins other web3 companies in donating to Trump’s inaugural fund. The company’s CEO, Jeremy Allaire, made the announcement on his X page.

The CEO confirmed the contribution of 1 million USDC to the inaugural committee, stating that his team is excited to be building a great American company. Jeremy commented that the committee accepted USDC stablecoin payments, deeming it as an action representing Circle’s progress.

Tech Giants Donate in Millions to Trump’s Inaugural Purse, Setting a New Record

Circle is just one of the many tech companies making news for their million-dollar donations to the inaugural fund of President Donald Trump. According to ABC News, the committee was set up last December with a $150 million target. The target has since been surpassed. Tech giants like Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and OpenAI’s Sam Altman donated $1 million each.

Investing firm Robinhood committed $2 million to the fund, while Uber pledged $1 million. Crypto companies Coinbase, Ondo, and Kraken contributed over $3 million to the committee.  Blockchain payments firm Ripple has also joined the donating firm, offering $5 million to the inaugural committee.

Trump’s 2025 inaugural fund has raised over $170 million so far, making it the largest amount ever raised for this purpose. This is nearly three times more than Joe Biden’s 2021 fundraising total of $62 million and about 40% higher than Trump’s 2017 total of $107 million. Since reaching their $150 million fundraising goal last December, the committee says donations are still coming in.

Trump-Vance Inaugural Activities to Start January 18

The Trump-Vance inaugural fund will be used to cater to the needs of the 3-day inaugural activities. The inauguration will commence on January 18, starting with a Make America Great Again Victory rally in Pennsylvania.

The fund will also cover traditional inaugural events, a dedicated reception for top donors, and an exclusive dinner with Donald Trump and Melania Trump. The inauguration will kick off on Jan 20 with a parade through Pennsylvania Avenue, followed by the swearing-in ceremony and a starlight ball in the evening to conclude the day’s events.
