  • Tezos will be allowed to place its logo on the training uniforms
  • Partes to collaborate in the metaverse or other Web3 projects
  • Tezos created its first nonfungible token fan experience in November 2021

Manchester United and Tezos are reportedly set to announce a multi-year training kit sponsorship, CoinTelegraph wrote. The proof-of-stake blockchain platform will be allowed to place its logo on the training uniforms. According to insider reports, the deal will be worth more than $27 million per year.

Reportedly, Manchester United has finalized filming promotional material ahead of the official announcement.

Project may involve cooperation in the metaverse

The parties might also collaborate in the metaverse or other Web3 projects. Manchester United is in the English Premier League (EPL), the top tier of pro-English football. It joins several other EPL clubs that have either signed fan token partnerships or penned sponsorship deals.

In August last year, Dogecoin and Watford FC launched a partnership. Dogecoin will sponsor the shirt sleeves for the 2021–2022 season, with players sporting the coins’ famed meme logo on their arms.

Tezos has a tradition in sports

Tezos has made substantial investments in sports sponsorships. It became RedBull’s official blockchain partner in May last year. In November, the blockchain created its first nonfungible token (NFT) fan experience. In October, Tezos became McLaren Racing’s official technical partner in a multi-year deal across its esports, Indycar, and Formula 1 teams. McLaren used Tezos’ network in its NFT collection in October 2021.

Baby Doge and German TSG Hoffenheim join forces

Baby Doge, another dog-themed crypto coin, partnered with Bundesliga member TSG Hoffenheim. The German football club’s CEO Denni Strick commented:

TSG Hoffenheim are happy to be working together with such an innovative and leading brand like Baby Doge. We are excited and looking forward to a successful partnership, where we’ll bring an NFT collection from the club and other exciting projects to life.

According to Mike Watson, a project manager at Baby Doge, the partnership will expand the crypto’s presence in the EU as well as the global market. Baby Doge will continue to create strategic partnerships to grow its reach as a community-focused project by positioning itself as a player in the world sports market.

Floki Inu partners with S.S.C. Napoli

Floki Inu, yet another Dogecoin spinoff, entered a partnership deal with Italian professional football club S.S.C. Napoli in November 2021. Within its framework, Floki Inu’s logo was displayed on the back of the team’s jerseys and on LED signs at the Napoli team’s home stadium, not unlike Baby Doge’s deal.
