Palm NFT Studio, which partnered with DC last year for DC FanDome NFTs, has teamed up with DC again, this time to launch Bat Cowl, a Batman-themed NFT collection. DC revealed this news through a blog post yesterday, noting that the collection will drop on April 26. Collectors holding DC FanDome NFTs will get exclusive access to the Bat Cowl pre-sale.
According to the blog post, The Bat Cowl collection comprises 200,000 NFTs going for $300 apiece. Each NFT will feature a unique 3-D rendition of Batman’s famous mask (cowl). Reportedly, the digital collectibles will come with two years of guaranteed benefits and are launched at a peak time, with NFT searches online exceeding those for cryptocurrency.
The companies will draw from Batman’s 83-year comic book legacy to create the collection. Even so, 200,000 is a large number. To this end, the companies have designed the NFTs to feature a variety of color combinations, styles, and mask shapes.

What does NFT stand for?
NFT stands for Non Fungible Token – this is effectively a unit of data, or unique file, stored on a blockchain. These can be traded and sold, with contracts built in.
Are NFTs a scam?
NFTs themselves are not a scam but there are definitely scams circulating around them. Equally, there can be certain collections that are pumped and hyped by influencers that then rug pull when the price rises. These are two things to watch out for in the NFT space.
