Pros and Cons of Stake Crypto Casino

As with any online crypto casino, there are advantages and disadvantages to the Stake site:

What we liked:

  • Excellent range of provably fair games as part of the website’s Stake Originals offering
  • Fantastic selection of ongoing promotions for new and existing customers
  • Stake’s responsible gambling tools are extensive

What could be improved

  • There isn’t a specific welcome bonus available for newly registered players
  • The Stake Live Casino doesn’t have a huge variety of games available
  • There are less games available compared to competitor sites

Stake is a great option for players who are looking for a provably fair casino with a user-friendly interface. However, the platform is limited to a small number of countries and does not provide a huge selection of games compared to other sites.

A Review of Stake Bonuses and Promotions

Bonuses and promotions are one of the key aspects of any crypto casino. As part of my Stake crypto casino review, I took a look at all of the different offers available to both new and existing players.

Welcome bonuses

There are no specific welcome bonuses available at the Stake Casino. However, new players will still be able to access any of the promotions on offer.

Existing customer offers

This is where Stake really comes into its own – there is an excellent range of existing customer offers available for players to claim. Some are switched out on a monthly basis, while others are valid for several months at a time.

At the time of writing, existing players will be able to claim the following bonuses:

  • Stake’s Daily Races – Stake gives away $100,000 every 24 hours to the top 5,000 participants on the Daily Race Leaderboard.
  • Stake’s Weekly Raffle – For every $1,000 wagered, players will earn 1 ticket for a raffle worth $75,000, split between 15 different players.
  • Pragmatic Drops & Wins – $2,000,000 is awarded in random drops to players that play Pragmatic Play slots.

VIP program

Stake has an excellent VIP program that really values returning, high-value players. You’ll automatically be enrolled into the VIP Club when you create an account – the more you wager, the higher you’ll rank!

TheStake VIP Club ranking system has four different levels:

  • Bronze – Up to $10,000 wagered
  • Silver – $50,000 – $100,000 wagered
  • Gold – $100,000 – $250,000 wagered
  • Platinum – $250,000 – $1,000,000 wagered

Each of the tiers in the VIP Club have different benefits, including monthly bonuses, rakeback, weekly bonuses, and more.

Promo codes

There are no Stake promo codes required when claiming a bonus or promotion! This is because most – if not all – of Stake’s bonuses are ongoing. Players are typically entered into them automatically and simply climb leaderboards by playing games.

Casino Games

Stake has an excellent library of casino games for you to choose from.

Live casino games

The Stake Live Casino, although not as extensive as other sites, has plenty to offer players. Most of the biggest game developers can be found here, including Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play and Live88.

You’ll be able to access all of the best live dealer table games, as well as some that are a little less traditional:

  • Andar Bahar Live – Pragmatic Play
  • Vegas Ball Bonanza – Pragmatic Play
  • Dragon Tiger Live – Pragmatic Play
  • Crazy Pachinko – Evolution Gaming
  • Crazy Coin Flip – Evolution Gaming

Slots

Slots are arguably the biggest attraction at any online crypto casino. As part of my Stake review, I spent some time exploring the operator’s slots offering and was pretty impressed with what I found.

There is a really good range of slots here – both popular and lesser-known titles – from some of the industry’s biggest software developers. For example, you’ll find NoLimit City, Relax Gaming and BGaming, amongst others at Stake Casino.

If you’re looking for inspiration, you might want to consider some of the popular titles available at Stake:

  • Sweet Bonanza 1000 – Pragmatic Play
  • Wanted Dead or a Wild – Hacksaw Gaming
  • Skate or Die – NoLimit City

Roulette

Roulette is one of the longest-standing games at any casino, land-based or online. Thankfully, there are plenty of roulette titles available at Stake, both as part of the Stake Live Casino and the Stake “Table Games” section.

Admittedly, the live dealer roulette offering far outweighs the others, but you can play OneTouch Roulette or Roulette, a Stake Originals. The latter is a provably fair roulette game, so could be worth exploring for those interested in a 100% verifiably fair experience.

In terms of live dealer roulette options, consider trying any of the following:

  • Mega Roulette – Pragmatic Play
  • Royal Riches Roulette – Live88
  • Stake Roulette – OneTouch

Blackjack

There are a few different options available to blackjack fans. It’s not as extensive an offering as you’ll likely find at competitor sites, but there are several varieties of blackjack for you to try.

Again, for fans of provably fair gaming options, you might want to try Blackjack by Stake Originals. For those less worried about provably fair blackjack games, consider playing:

  • Blackjack Live – Pragmatic Play
  • Stake Blackjack – OneTouch
  • Blackjack Live – Live88

Instant win games

There are some good options for fans of instant win games. These are typically less popular than video slots or live dealer titles, but Stake doesn’t hold back with its instant win offering.

The majority of these are scratch cards, which can be bought and “scratched immediately” after purchasing.

If you’re interested in Stake’s instant win games, you’ll only really have Hacksaw Gaming options to choose from. However, there are more than 50 of them, so consider trying:

  • Balloons
  • Rat Riches
  • Tiger Scratch
  • Shave the Beard
  • Stack ‘Em Scratch

Stake Sportsbook

The Stake Sportsbook sits separately to the Stake Casino and offers players a really impressive sports betting experience. You’ll be able to bet on all of the world’s biggest sports, including soccer, baseball, American football and tennis.

If you’re interested in esports, the Stake Sportsbook has a better esports offering that you’ll find at most crypto casinos. This includes Dota 2, CS2, League of Legends, King of Valor, and more.

You’ll be able to choose between pre-match and live betting options, and there are a huge range of markets available:

  • Over/Under Betting – A bet on whether or not a result will be higher or lower than a set value
  • Moneyline Betting – A bet on a specific team or sports-person that you believe will win an event
  • Spread Betting – A bet on the outcome of the event (pay-off is based on the accuracy of your bet)

Stake Software Providers

Software providers can make or break an online crypto casino. If you don’t have enough of the “big names”, you’ll find it hard to attract players. If you only have the biggest developers then it’ll be hard to differentiate yourself from the rest of the market.

Thankfully, Stake has a brilliant blend of both, with players able to try more than 40 different developers.

In terms of well-known game providers, you’ll find all of the biggest draws here:

  • Play’n GO
  • ELK Studios
  • Red Tiger Gaming
  • Booming Games
  • Quickspin

If you’re looking for some slightly less well-known developers, consider trying titles from:

  • Twist
  • Avatar UX
  • PopiPlay
  • True Lab
  • 3 Oaks Gaming

Payments and withdrawals

Stake Casino is a cryptocurrency-focused casino, which means that you’ll only be able to play using one of the site’s accepted cryptocurrencies. However, thanks to a partnership with MoonPay, it’s possible to purchase cryptocurrencies directly on the Stake site using your preferred payment method.

Accepted payment methods

To make a payment at Stake, you’ll be able to use any of the following:

  • Credit/Debit Card (including Visa, MasterCard and Maestro)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • SEPA & SEPA Instant
  • UK Faster Payments
  • PIX

You can use any of the above methods to purchase cryptocurrencies through MoonPay.

Supported cryptocurrencies

You’ll have access to 18 different cryptocurrencies on Stake, all of which can be used to make deposits and withdrawals.

As well as the classics (BTC, ETH, DOGE and BCH), you’ll be able to use some cryptocurrencies that aren’t typically available at online casinos. This includes:

  • APE
  • DAI
  • SAND
  • EOS
  • UNI

Stake minimum deposit

There is no minimum deposit at Stake, which means you can add as little to your account as you like. This is great for players that want to start slowly – you’ll be able to add a small number of funds to your Stake account and see if the site suits you.

On the other hand, there is also no maximum deposit at Stake, which is great for high rollers!

Withdrawal limits

There is no maximum withdrawal limit at Stake, but you will need to meet the minimum withdrawal requirements in order to claim your winnings!

These are as follows:

  • BTC: 0.0002
  • LTC: 0.04
  • ETH: 0.004
  • BCH: 0.02
  • DOGE: 30

It’s also worth noting that you’ll be charged a small fee for each withdrawal, which will depend on the cryptocurrency that you use.

Withdrawal speeds

Stake is an excellent choice for anybody looking to make instant withdrawals. Because it’s a crypto-focused site, all withdrawal options are processed instantly. This means that you don’t need to wait several days for your winnings to enter your account.

Stake Customer Support

As part of my Stake Casino review, I spent some time exploring the customer support options that are available.

There aren’t many options here, but there is a responsive live chat that’s available 24/7. I found the customer support agents that I spoke to really helpful – they answered my questions quickly and were very pleasant to speak to.

If you have a more common question, you could consider accessing Stake’s FAQs. These are fairly extensive and should answer most (if not all!) of your questions.

User Experience and Usability

Stake is a very user-friendly operator site. You can easily toggle between “Casino” and “Sports”, and the navigation bar to the left has all of your options highlighted clearly. This includes different game types, as well as the Stake Blog, your Profile and the VIP Club.

You can also “Favorite” your preferred games, which Stake then puts right at the top of the navigation panel. This means that you can easily access your favorite titles, all in one place.

Stake Casino Mobile App Review

Unfortunately, there isn’t a Stake Casino mobile app for you to use. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy Stake as a mobile user!

To access Stake on your mobile device, simply access it through your device’s web browser. You’ll have all of the same functionality as you would on the desktop version of the site, just with increased portability!

Restricted Countries

There are certain countries that you can’t access Stake in. This is because the site is only licensed for use in some jurisdictions – there are also lots of countries in which gambling is not legal.

According to the Stake website, here are the countries that are restricted:

Afghanistan, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Curaçao, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, North Korea, Ontario, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Zimbabwe

Casino License and Regulation

Stake is licensed by the Government of Curaçao, which is one of the most difficult licenses to earn. Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., which has achieved the following license: 8048/JAZ2021-027.

This means that Stake is a legal, safe and regulated site. It also ensures that Stake adheres to certain rules implemented by the Government of Curaçao.

Is Stake Safe to Use?

Yes, Stake is perfectly safe to use, thanks in part to its license from the Government of Curaçao. In order to obtain (and keep) its license, Stake needs to adhere to a range of different rules and regulations.

Also, because Stake is a cryptocurrency casino, blockchain technology adds an additional layer of security for players.

What Have Previous Users Said About Stake?

Stake has received really good reviews on TrustPilot, which is usually a really good indicator that the site is worth playing at. Previous user reviews will typically highlight ongoing issues, which can suggest whether or not an operator should be avoided.

Stake has a positive rating of 3.8 out of 5, which is pretty impressive!

Recent reviews are very complimentary about Stake’s VIP Club, deposits and withdrawals, and ongoing promotions, among other things!

Final Thoughts

Stake is one of the most popular crypto casinos – and for good reason! During my Stake Casino review I was constantly impressed with what was on offer; from a good range of games, fast deposits and withdrawals, and a range of ongoing promotions, it’s clear that Stake is one of the best online casinos to try.

However, it is worth keeping in mind that Stake is not available to US players. If you are based in the US, we recommend taking a look at Wild.io or Bitstarz casinos.
